Charlie Keawe is an offensive linefur for the North Florida Renegades. He was drafted tenth overall in the 2017 UFFL Draft.
History
Born and raised in Hawaii, Charlie had always loved football, but never had the opportunity to attend a professional game. He began as safety in high school, but his rather impressive growth spurt, both upwards and sideways, his junior year prompted a move to the offensive line. He decided to attend the smaller Hilo branch of Bluewater University due to the larger scholarship they offered. His freshman year, his very first trip to the mainland occurred when he traveled with the team to play in California. There, he was able to witness his first professional game (Fargo at California, in the first year of the UFFL). After that, he decided to that he'd do anything to make it onto the field and play for the Dons.
