Margie Margolis is a rookie offensive linefur for the New Orleans Corsairs.
Biography
Not very much is known of this bear from the northern plains prior to her showing at Montana Mammalian. She walked on as a sophomore for her college team. She came from Rapid City SD, and did not do high school football. Her three years at MO-Mal we're exemplary in her ability to command an offensive line, or at least single handedly define it. Granted, the school was a AAA Conference University, not known for it's football pedigree. All the same, the school appeared in it's first AAA national final in 2017. With a roster of players who did collegiate football for the love of the game, opposed to scholarships and professional aspirations, Margolis displayed enough potential for a surprise showing in the UFFL, and made her bid for the 2018 draft. Of concern was her quick disappearances at the end of the fall season for "definitely hibernation". How it will transcribe to the pro leagues is an unknown, but she claims she will stick it out "as long as she's needed to protect"
Evaluation
3 stars and a half. Great size, can easily create holes for the run game. From what I’ve seen of Margie, she’s definitely got the physical aspects of a good UFFL lineman; being an ursine helps with that a lot. Seeing as how she’s more “Mama Bear” than “Papa Bear”, she should be better at pass blocking, though I could also see her moonlighting at guard if needed. Definitely one of the best OLs in the draft despite her lack of experience.
