Ivory McLain is a Defensive Tackle for the Texas Ramblers in the UFFL.

Biography

Born in the heart of the South, Ivory's upbringing focused around staying afloat, making ends meet, and impressing the neighbors by looking and acting better than them. And so, when that ol' dog Bartholomew Jones signed his pup up for peewee football, you bet your bottom dollar the McLain's would do the same with Ivory.

From there, things would only escalate, and while Ivory's passions weren't really in sport, he loved cooking food and goofing off with his buddies. Unbeknownst to him, this was only helping him settle into a role on the offensive line.

By the time he reached high school, Ivory was just another gear, but Bart Jones Jr. was destined to attend Savannah River University - one of the best football schools in the South. Things reached a fever pitch with the families, and Ivory promised to settle things once and for all... (a story to be told for later!) but it resulted in Ivory switching to the defensive side of the ball so he was never again on the field at the same time as Bart.

Lo and behold, Ivory played three wonderful years at SRU, and helped the team rank in the Top 25 for the seventh year running. McLain's contributions were statistically tracked, but he only accrued two sacks in his senior year. This was seen as a let-down compared to the ten he scored in his sophomore year. But then he played all four quarters of the conference championship, and brought the quarterback down no less than three times. From then on, it was history.

The only question remaining: will Bart Jones Jr. come back to haunt the McLains?

Player Survey

How does your player's unique physicality (think species) fit well for the position that they play?
Ivory is a stockier feline, but not the stockiest species. Nonetheless, the agility of being a feline certainly enhances his play in evading the offensive linefurs and getting to the running back.

What is your player's biggest weakness?
Prone to false starts in college. Has an indifferent attitude to learning advanced playbook tactics. Below average speed.

If given the opportunity, would your player want to be formally mentored by another player? Why or why not?
If he was forced to, then he would. But Ivory's not terribly interested in investing more time in learning the sport than he has to.
