Marigold (Mary) Wu is a rookie strong safety for the Nashville Tuts.
Biography
Marigold grew up within the heart of San Francisco. Her parents being former immigrants from China, she would grow up in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown, helping her mother and father run their small food shop. While she was interested in continuing the business that her parents run, as she entered high school, the gridiron caught her interest, and when she joined the school's team, she found that she could excel! Quick on her toes, Mari was excellent at keeping her coverage target within arms reach, and was excellent on timing jumps to contest balls without penalty. At Santa Bearba, she would lead the team in Knockdowns as in her Junior year, she helped lead them to a conference title against their collegiate Rivals Hollywood High. This success would continue into her senior year, and lead to selection in the all-conference defence.
Evaluation
3 stars. Good coverage on deep routes and zone schemes. Decent pass defense. I saw the game against Cal Furry Tech, and Marigold was all over the place making plays. A better coverage SS than a hitter, she can shadow receivers and play the ball very well, though she will have to improve on tackling and taking effective routes to the ball carrier in the running game.
