Samantha Castora is a rookie running back for the Downriver Waves.

History

Samantha was born and raised in the Boston area. The youngest of seven and the only female, she honed her skills by playing flag and then tackle football with her older brothers. As the years went by, she got better and better, especially working on her speed. At her high school, she was the only female to try out for the football team. The males laughed and teased her but they didn't laugh when she broke the school's speed record at tryouts.

She quickly gained respect among her teammates with her hard work and soon led her team in receiving touchdowns. She faced the same hurdles at college, becoming the first female starter in the school's history and setting a few school records along the way. After two seasons, she was recommended by her coaches to declare herself for the draft. She was reluctant to sign up before completing her education but after her family gave their blessing, she eagerly signed up.

Despite her tough exterior, she's still very much a daddy's girl and has brains to match her abilities as well as a body that will turn more than a few heads... at least until she leaves them in the dust!

She's very hard-working and disciplined and, despite her talent, she's very humble. She's eager to do her best for whatever team picks her.
