Template:Infobox player Rebecca Walker is a rookie kicker for the Downriver Waves.

Biography

She is the older sister of FAFL players Rudy Walker (Orange Miners) and Ryder Walker (Fremantle Panthers). Rebecca Walker has been a bit of a black sheep of the family. She played Australian Football when she was young, along with her younger brothers. While Rebecca was a very good kicker, her on-ball skills were lacking. She entered the 2008 FAFL Draft after playing for Burswood in the WAFFA for 3 years, and while hoping to be picked up in the draft, she was not picked up by a club by the end of the draft.

Rebecca's dream was crushed. She had not been drafted by an FAFL club. Not long after the draft, Rebecca gave up on Aussie rules and decided to go to the Western Australian University of Furs to study Sports Science. Due to her studying Sports Science, she was always on the sidelines during university sporting events.

One day, the university's American Football team were down one kicker after the last remaining kicker tore his ACL after a kick-off. After the match, the school was looking for another kicker. They tried to find someone else, but were unsuccessful. The team was going to forfeit the Australian University Championships, until Rebecca was willing to have a tryout.

Rebecca was very nervous about the tryout, thinking that she would fail miserably, as she had in Aussie rules.

Though that was not to be, as Rebecca passed the tryout with flying colours. She was going to be playing American Football with the university.

During the Championships, Rebecca kicked 18 field goals and got the University across the line by 3 points in the Championship match.

Since then Rebecca has graduated from her Sports Science course and is ready to enter the UFFL Draft. She is hoping to prove to people that she is, if not better than her younger brothers in the FAFL.

Interview

Some species are naturally better built to kick and punt than other species. How does your player's physicalities (hooved feet, short legs, heavy tails, etc.) affect their kicking ability?

Her tail can slow her down, but not really anything affects her with kicking.

Football players sign contracts with teams to get paid millions of dollars. When your player is signed to a team, are they going to care more about security (staying on a team longer) or money (earning the big $$$) in their contract offer?

Rebecca just wants to play. She doesn't care about getting very huge sums of money.
