Maynar Wu-Chen is a rookie defensive tackle for the Montreal Royal.
Biography
Maynar was a bit of a late bloomer when it comes to football, but he has definitely performed. His first two years in high school, were a struggle, and many a time was a bench rider. Getting into college with the help of his Parents, and going to the local school at the time in Gem High, Maynor was able to get coaching on correcting his mistakes, and soon becomes a menace on the Defensive line. In his senior year, the Duck was in the Top 10 when it came to Pet 10 Conference Sacks and Tackles, and would help to lead the College to a Top 25 rating.
Evaluation
2 Stars. Above average pass rushing. Sorely undersized as a DT; I think Maynar can be more effective as a LB, or at the very least a pass-rushing specialist on the end. He is going to get mauled at the next level unless he puts on about 50 pounds or so, and his technique is average to slightly above, but not to that level.
