Template:Infobox playerZeferino Martiz is a rookie tight end for the Nashville Tuts.

Biography

Zeferino spent his childhood living in the lavish sections of Sao Paolo, learning to put aside cultural differences and embrace a world-wide point of view. It was through his interest in international television that he discovered American football, and when his family moved to Texas when he was 10, he got dropped into little leagues and played all throughout the rest of his schooling career. Ultimately, he out-performed big Texan expectations - for a rooster, at least. And you might say that you've never heard of a rooster playing tight end, or ... any position in football, for that matter. But Zeferino ("Zef" for short) won't be having any of that negativity!

Unlike the other tight end in this draft, Martíz's specialty is blocking the rush. It's not his only skill, of course, but in key first and second down plays, his blocking skills will assist in protecting the quarterback or running back compared to fellow draftees. His main weakness is avoiding penalties and his catching skills are average.

Rookie Scouting Report

Brock Brezniski: Being a good blocking TE in this day in age is rare, and Zef is definitely that. While his forte is sealing off the edges on outside runs, he is a decent receiver but his footwork is suspect in terms of route-running. From what film I’ve seen, Zef’s technique can stand to use some improvement as well, as he is prone to holding penalties. If he can improve his discipline and continue to work on his receiving skills, Zef will have a lot to crow about.
