Jimmy Winters

Biography
Jimmy's path to being a punter is a tale of two sports. In school, Jimmy played the sport that was he and his families first love, soccer. Primarily playing as a goalie, Jimmy enjoyed the sport, and the many hops and moves he had to make to work as well. Unfortunately as much as he enjoyed it, he found he just wasn't that good, and in his sophomore year of college, he was resigned to the bench. Luckily, during one of the practices alongside the high school football team, the coach of the team saw something that Jimmy did that lead a twinkle to his eye. While Jimmy was not the best goalie, he could see that the kit was excellent when it came to making clearance kicks, so much so that he thought that it could transfer over to punting for the football team. The next day, the coach offered him a position as punter with the team, and with practice that performance lead to a scholarship at Colorado Mountainside. With college records in long punts and under 20 keep ins, Jimmy enters the league looking to have strong potential, and it all comes from him just trying to be a goalie.
Evaluation
2 stars. Decent kicking strength. Another goalkeeper-turned-kicker/punter as there are aspects that translate from the pitch to the gridiron. There has to be something really special for me to consider drafting a punter and I’m not seeing it with Jimmy.
