Herman Schneiders is a Wide Receiver for the New Orleans Corsairs in the UFFL.

Biography

Schneiders' football career began with a broken nose. The football fell seemingly out of the sky and into his face. Laughter ensued, and out of anger from his fellow furs, dared them to watch as he beat the team up with his strength and slippery skills. It worked... if by what you mean "work" you mean literally wrestling the ball away and squeezing between offenders. Years later, he picked up football - as all other boys with a penchant for blowing steam did at his school - and proved himself worthy as a wide receiver, not so much because of his lack of height, but for his speed.

Fast-forward to college and Schneiders was exemplary at leading his school to their first bowl game in six seasons. They narrowly defeated their opponents off a run-in score in the last thirty seconds that was in part thanks to a 60-yard reception by Herman, 50 of which was on the ground.

What you'll get if you draft Schneiders is a reliable WR2 or WR3 who can break the pace of defenders with his speed but may be naturally at risk for quarterbacks who like to 'thread the needle' with their passes since a taller defender could easily intercept a pass over Schneiders' head. The mink's above-average agility and stamina is otherwise only weighed down by his average (for an WR) catching skills.

Rookie Scouting Report

Brock Brezniski: Being a mink, Herman should be naturally fast and slippery, and he’s got plenty of both to offer. He can be especially dangerous when utilized in short passing situations, where he can catch the ball in space and turn defenders inside out. Of course, that means he’d have to catch the ball, and average paws combined with lapses in concentration means lots of drops. If he can fix that, then Herman should be quite a threat, and should also see some time as a kick returner.
