Biography

A simple friendly brown bear from the city of San Jose, California has only one dream he wants to accomplish, to make it to the big leagues and play in the UFFL. As a fairly small, but thick bear, stacking at 6'0 and 207 pounds, he played football in high school as a tight end from sophomore year to senior year. His head coach noticed his trouble running offensive routes and plays, but saw him being able to catch and carry the ball with excellence. He switched him to an inside linebacker midway into his sophomore year. With the move working out for both nicely, making the playoffs, and the bear was able to get 4 interceptions with returning 2 for TDs. Then moving on to college, the closest and only college wanting him did his full four years at the linebacker position, recording 6 interceptions, 137 tackles, and 8.5 sacks. After his senior year, he knew he was ready to make that dream real to play in the UFFL, Drew "Buddy" Coleman is his name, and you're gonna remember it soon.

Interview

How would your linebacker player respond to the question, "Describe your college years?"

"Amazing and interesting. I had an outstanding junior and senior year, but my freshman and sophomore year were mostly times getting a custom to the college system and learning the teams strategies and play style. I ended up playing more my way in the last two years and had good performance on the field and kept my nose clean off the field."

What is your linebacker's play style? Do they creep towards the defensive line to get an edge on the play, or do they survey the field to better react to the play?

He plays it safe and survey the field for any crossing wide receivers, tight ends, and/or running backs. Playing inside linebacker, He has to stay put and watch the quarterback on where he's gonna throw and for those incoming targets. He only gets near the D-Line if it's a blitz play, He goes by the playbook mostly on blitz plays, but not much if it's regular man on man or zone coverage plays. Gotta love zone coverage, it's been his specialty ever since high school.

What is your player doing in the off-season to improve their chances of being drafted higher?

He's working on his mobility by working out and doing some long jogs and sprints. He wants to be known as a big linebacker that's also very mobile. He also is watching some old UFFL defensive tapes to learn the speed of the game a bit better than some others who aren't.
