Kirklin Shields is a wide receiver for the Montreal Royal, who was signed as an undrafted rookie to the Abilene Lancers late during the 2015 regular season.
Biography
Kirklin is the son of Boston sports writer Ronan Shields. Unlike his father, Kirk took to football instead of basketball. He played much of his life, making both his High School's varsity team as well as becoming a starter his sophomore year at BIC. He was nicknamed Talon II, as like his father, his wider hand base gives him more area to snag a ball and get it under control and keep hold of it till he is tackled or he enters the end zone. That is not to say that he is perfect, his passion for the game can get the better of him and has caused a few fights off the field and on it. He also can be a tad show offish when scoring.

Receivers have to have good hands/paws/etc. to play in the UFFL. What does your player do to improve their catch ability?
When he gets new playing gloves he beats them up a little to wear the palms and finger tips.
Football players sign contracts with teams to get paid millions of dollars. When your player is signed to a team, are they going to care more about security (staying on a team longer) or money (earning the big $$$) in their contract offer?
Kirk at the moment is unsure, he leans more to the long term of being on a team but wants the pay to be there too.

Outside of practicing, I am from the gaming generation so usually playing a bit on my consoles.
What is your player doing in the off-season to improve their chances of being drafted higher?
Looking about for open tryouts, trying to gain hold of an agent and working on getting his name out.
