Joe Bowers is a retired Quarterback for the UFFL.
In the 2014 season, he traded off games at quarterback for the Dons with Darnell Paige before suffering a concussion that sidelined him for two weeks. However, he came back in later in the season and finished by starting the final six games.
In 2015, Bowers' radical behavior caught up with him, and he found himself sitting back as Paige reclaimed the starting quarterback position. While this undoubtedly aggravated the young tiger, there has been no sign yet as to whether Bowers will acquiesce as backup or look for another team.
In 2016, after the championship-defending New York Titans traded away their star quarterback, a one year contract with Bowers was signed and agreed upon.

History
Joe was already a national college quarterback prospect his Freshman year due to his frame and impressive arm strength. Transferring down to play high school ball in Tallahassee, Fla. his sophomore season, he became a local sensation, leading his team into the playoffs each season as a starter. In addition to his prowess on the gridiron, Bowers was also increasingly scouted by the FLB for his skills on the mound. Following graduation, Joe was offered a scholarship to Otter State (OSU), but ultimately signed with the Charleston Swamp Foxes after being selected in the 3rd round of the FLB rookie draft. After three seasons in the minors, Bowers was released and enrolled at OSU where he was the backup quarterback for two seasons before starting his senior year. As a senior, he led OSU to a 10-3 season capped by a major bowl game victory, compiling decent stats. His strength remains his arm, but mobility and vision at the pro level are constant question marks.
