Miami Tropics
The Miami Tropics are one of two teams established in 2017 as part of the expansion from 12 to 14 teams. As such, the initial success of landing a franchise did not translate into on-the-field success, having employed an abrasive quarterback cum manager (?) in Joe Bowers. The Tropics only won three games in their first season, and Bowers was dispatched shortly after Week 17.
Having reestablished their line-up and management goals, the Tropics hope that 2018 will bring prosperity and happiness to the furs in southern Florida.
